Aspire High School enrolls students from grade 7-9 on a first come, first served basis through our application process.
Students in grade 6 and 10-12 are welcome to apply, but may not be accepted unless they can clearly demonstrate their ability to operate in a democratic schooling environment. Students in these grades will need to be able to take responsibility for their own learning, ask for help when they need it and work with school staff to create a personalized educational plan.
Each student will need to complete our application online and submit an expression of interest. An expression of interest is our version of an application essay. The expression can be anything: a picture of artwork, an essay about your desire for alternative education, a short movie, a poem, etc. If you feel that your expression requires further explanation, use the area below to clarify. Aspire is a student-led program, which first and foremost means that you have to WANT to be here. Applications will not be considered until an expression of interest has been received.
Please see our Admissions Calendar for application deadlines for the upcoming year. If you are looking to apply during the current year please call or contact us to see if space is available.
